Budget scenario "Modeling" in ESP™, every value contained within the Scenario could be considered an "Assumption".  Each value, whether from Elements, Salary Plans, Employees, Benefit Plans, etc. is an important individual piece that makes up the whole Model or Budget Scenario.

In ESP™ there are many settings, factors and assumptions that control how the Scenario is calculated.  These Assumptions are shown on the Assumptions tab on ESP™'s main window..  Calculated Assumptions can only be created for Financial Budget Items and have two parts: the Trigger condition that triggers or enables the calculation, and the Calculations themselves.  The most common use of Calculated Assumptions is to calculate taxes and fringe benefits for Employees.
