Column

Note

Id

The Salary Schedule sequence number.

Benefit Plan

The District Benefit Plan that should be associated with the Schedule.  Examples are: Classified, Licensed/Certified, Administrators/Supervisors, Bus Drivers, Fixed Rate (used for executive levels having separately negotiated benefit plans), and No Benefits.

Schedule Name

From the ERP salary schedules.

Hourly

If checked, this Plan/Grade is based on an Hourly Rate and Annual Rate is calculated as (Days * 8 * Hourly Rate).

If unchecked this Plan/Grade is based on an Annual Rate and is calculated as (Annual Rate / (Days * 8)).

Note: For hourly plans,  the annual rate is calculated by multiplying the hourly rate by the work days and work hours.  Annual Salary= (Hourly Rate * Work Days * Work Hours).
For annual plans,  the Hourly rate is calculated by dividing the annual rate by the work days and work hours.  Hourly Rate= (Annual Salary/ (Work Days * Work Hours)).

Benefit Plan

The Benefit Plan assigned this Plan/Grade from the Benefit List on the Assumptions tab.

COLA %

Cost of Living Allowance: An incremental factor for increases in the Salary Plans.  For Hourly plans the Model Hourly Rate is recalculated to include COLA% and, for non-Hourly, or Annual plans, the Annual Rate is recalculated to include COLA%.

Step Direction

(V or H) ERP systems Schedule supports either vertically or horizontally. It should be noted that this can be different for each Schedule.

Step Enable

Checking this box allows an automatic Step increase for non-Step-0 employees during Employee Recalculations.

Step Factor

If Step Enable is checked, this is the factor added to each non Step 0 employee's Current Step.

Work Days

The number of work days the schedule is based on, independent of any specific work calenders or positions. The default work days is 260. This value is critical in calculating salaries because many employees do not work a full calendar year.  The Days value is used in the Annual and Hourly calculations.

Work Hours

The number of work house in a work day this Schedule is based on, independent of any specific work calendars or positions. The default work hours is 8.
