Employee Funding Status

An employee funding's activation status determines whether it is included in the budget.  The activation status can be changed in the Employee Details window, or from the context menu in the main Employee grid.

warningInactivating an Employee Funding should not be done unless you know the employee will be leaving the organization.  If you want to remove an Employee Funding from a specific budget location or cost center and are not sure where that employee will wind up,  use the Set Employee Pending Process instead.

UserActivitiesChanging Employee Funding Status

1.Click the Employees tab to open the Employees grid.

2.Double-click on an Employee Funding in the outline column to open the Employee Details window.

Adm_NoteActivating or deactivating an Employee Funding can be initiated from the Employee Details window or from the context menu in the outline column of the main Employee Grid.

3.In the Status pane of the Employee Details window, click the Active check box to remove its check mark. A check mark indicates the employee is active. and empty check box indicates the employee is inactive.

1.The employee's Funding Source becomes grayed out.

4.Save and Apply Changes  by clicking on the Apply_Changes button on the main toolbar, or selecting File -> Save Changes from the Main Menu.

5.Enter a note in the Apply Adjustments text box (at least 10 characters), and then click Apply to finish saving the record.

Adm_NoteOnce the changes are saved the employee's editable properties cannot be changed until the employee is Activated again.

6.Close the Employee Details window to return to the main grid.

The inactivated Employee Funding values are grayed out and its amounts are removed from grid totals.

Adm_TipTo Activate an Inactive employee, follow this same procedure, but click the Active box (Step 3) so that it is has a check mark. After clicking on Save Changes and returning to the Employees grid, the employee record will appear in black text and the funding amounts will be added to the grid totals.
